Code Blue season hits the street homeless population harder than anyone else. When the temperature drops, with no where else to go, the community turns to Homeless Solutions.

Guests of the Winter Warming Center are able to call 211 and receive placement reservations. When they come to Homeless Solutions’ facility, they are provided a warm bed, a hot dinner, lockers, and access to laundry facilities and private showers. In the morning, they receive breakfast. With case management on site, many are able to connect with social services they have not been able to reach and other supports. Some, after seeing the shelter and easing their fears of shelter living, seek out and gain admission to Homeless Solutions’ longer term (extended) Shelter Programs.

In the 2023-2024 Warming Center season alone, 23 people have transitioned into the Main Shelter, and some have already progressed into permanent, positive housing destinations.
