FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CEDAR KNOLLS, NJ., – Homeless Solutions, Inc. (HSI) is excited to introduce Mary LeBlanc as the organization’s Interim CEO with the departure of longtime CEO Dan McGuire in June. Since our founding 41 years ago, HSI has grown with intention into the leading shelter and homeless services provider in Morris County and the organization plans to continue thriving under Mary’s valuable guidance and leadership.

Mary is a familiar friend to HSI staff, having been an active Board of Trustees member since 2016, also serving as Vice Chair between 2021-2023. She came to know Homeless Solutions nearly 30 years ago as a volunteer through her church and has been a steadfast supporter ever since. Mary’s years of service with HSI are proof of her dedication to the mission: “I am inspired every single day by the passion and commitment that this fabulous organization brings to their work. Many people think that it is someone else’s job to take care of those in our society that are less fortunate. This team carries that mission in their very hearts. It is an honor to be of service in any way I can.”

As the homelessness landscape has changed dramatically over the past years with an ever- increasing demand for services, Mary’s experience as a corporate executive and operational leader help make her vision clear for her tenure. Mary’s priorities during her time at Homeless Solutions are to aid in the search for the new CEO, work to secure new sources of funding, support the leadership team and staff while they execute the organization’s mission, ensure our financial stability and prepare the organization for future growth.

In addition to Interim CEO, Mary is President and Principal Consultant for Bridger Val Associates LLC, specializing in C-level leadership development and strategic consulting services.  She has held several board positions including the Advisory Board for the Easton Technology Management Center at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and Xybion Digital Inc. Mary holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Stanford University and an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.

Whether it’s cooking in our shelter kitchen, advocating for funding for HSI or sharing her love for this organization on the links at Women’s Day, Mary’s infectious personality and years of leadership experience are sure to make her a steady guide while she leads our team through this time of transition.

About Homeless Solutions

Our Philosophy is “A Hand Up, not a Handout.” As a private, nonprofit organization, Homeless Solutions has been helping the homeless and at risk in our community since 1983. We are unique in what we do. It’s not just about providing a healthy meal and a place to sleep. Our goal is to give those we serve the tools and surroundings they need to rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient. What sets our nonprofit apart from others is our continuum of housing options, including our main shelter, Transitional Housing Program (THP) for families, Warming Center for street homeless in the winter, Mt. Kemble Home for senior women, Women’s Campus for single women in shared housing, and the Affordable Rental Housing units we own and operate – in all 138 units of affordable homes for Morris County residents.
